#1 - What will I get and who will I meet when I participate?

The National Publicity Summit is the ONLY way to get one-on-one, face-to-face meetings via Zoom with 75+ top producers, journalists, guest bookers and other media decision-makers and gate-keepers.

These aren’t low-level staffers or unpaid interns. These are people who actually do stories and shows for many of America’s most influential media outlets –TV shows, radio shows, websites, magazines, newspapers, and podcasts that shape the country’s conversations.

A single interview, a single quote, even a single mention in one of these big media outlets could catapult your career to new levels of influence and income.

And you’ll get personal, virtual meetings with them! You’ll make connections and build relationships to help you get exposure not only now but down the road, for years to come.

Question # 2 – Who should (and who shouldn’t) take part in the Summit?

The media who participate in my Summit all want to meet authors, experts, and entrepreneurs who have interesting, impactful stories to tell and who are on a mission to make a real, positive difference in the world.

Now, that may not describe you. Since you’re on my list and getting this email, I suspect it does… but there’s a chance it doesn’t, and that’s okay.

If you’re a novelist whose novel doesn’t have some practical, nonfiction angle (like a tie-in to current events)… or if you’re a children’s book author, or a poet… well, I can’t wait to read your book, but you wouldn’t get much out of the Summit.

Or if your topic is really a highly technical one – like how to optimize the efficiency of gas turbine engines –you’re better off working to get known in your industry or academic field.

Or if you only want publicity on a local scale – your hometown, your home state – the Summit’s not going to be a good use of your time and money, and I can’t in good conscience encourage you to apply. Frankly, we’d probably turn you down if you did.

That’s because the media at the Summit want to book guests and interview experts with broad, mainstream appeal… people who have inspiring true stories or innovative and practical advice or hard-won life lessons to share that a lot of people can benefit from.

Question # 3 – How exactly does this virtual Summit work, anyway?

I usually hold the Summit in-person in New York City. When the pandemic forced us to take the Summit online for the first time last April, we asked ourselves this very same question!
But I have an extremely talented team who are very good at what they do. In record time they’d worked out a smooth, effective system for getting our Summit participants in front of 75+ journalists and producers for one-on-one meetings via Zoom.

Most everyone became very familiar with Zoom last year! It’s a video conferencing platform people use to “meet” over the internet, with or without video. If you haven’t used it yet, you’ll be pleasantly surprised how intuitive and easy it is to use.

We’ll send you a schedule of Summit sessions (see below), complete with a special link. At the right time, all you do is click on the link to join the meeting and let our team handle the rest.

In each one, you’ll get an exclusive, two-minute meeting with each member of the media. Other attendees will get to listen in, but they’ll be muted and can’t interrupt.

Everyone who’s taken part in our previous virtual Summits, media members and publicity-seekers alike, said the process was not only painless but downright fun!

And while you won’t be shaking anyone’s hand, you’ll still be making critical, one-on-one connections with the media.

It’s that element of personal connection and direct access that makes all the difference in your landing publicity… and you can’t get it anywhere but the Summit.
